completely escaped my notice until today. I can't tell you how heartbroken I feel
at this horrible turn of events. Please accept my deepest sympathies for the suffering

of all good people like you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Carpenters, I was in Redding California this last summer and my heart just dropped when we went to Red Robin and I was casually reading Heather's flyer on the window. I haven't seen Heather for a while but as I look back to our childhood I remember only great times. She really is an angel from heaven. I don't know how to help other than to let you know that I have am hoping and praying for Heather's return home to her loving and very generous family. Love to all!

Hello All - Again, I wanted to thank everyone for the continued support and for the continued tips that people have sent to info1@heathercarpenter.com. We would like to ask those people who are in the Redding area to continue to post flyers around town as it seems some are being taken down. Post them on telephone poles, at crosswalks of intersections and in any store window that will allow it...we will not give up or forget Heather, and we will not let others forget. Thank you so much for your help. Also, please note that although there has not been new information in the news about the investigation, the police meet with the family regularly and are not giving up on their investigation into this case.
Thank you, Heidi Carpenter

I TOO AM FRUSTRATED AT THE FACT WE THE PUBLIC HAVE RECIEVED NO NEWS ABOUT HEATHER AND THIS CASE FOR A VERY LONG TIME, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHERE CAN WE GO TO GET ANY NEW NEWS OR ANSWERS TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS INVESTIGATION? I SEE THAT PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN DOWN FLYERS , THEY SHOULD REMAIN UNTIL THIS IS SOLVED, AND NEVER EVER GIVE UP HOPE.

I wish that the search for Heather was more public. I haven't heard anything new on the news or in the papers in over a month. I find this to be very fustrating. In our small town of Redding we need to come together as a community to search for Heather and not give up. Someone out there knows something. When I first saw the flyer about the pick up I was reading it in front of a grocery store when a women came up behind me and asked if it was about the girl. I looked at her and said Her name is Heather. We need to not forget about Heather and do all we can to help ease her Family's pain and torment with so many unanswered questions. Over a month ago I sent an E-mail voluntering to Search for Heather and I have never been contacted regarding this. If if there is anything I can do please E-mail me.

Sometimes,it takes a long time for prayers too be answered.
Just when you feel all hope is gone and you are at your lowest,something will happen to restore your faith.The Lord does hear our prayers and he will answer them in his own time and way.Letting the Carpenter family know that Heather and you are in our thoughts and prayers daily.Our family has experienced many trials and tribulations and many of our prayers have been answered.With Love Carole

I am praying for Heather and for her family. We never know why God allows such things to come our way. It is so confusing. It's times like this when we question what it's all about. But have faith, the Bible says, "In this world you will have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33.
If Heather is not on this earth any longer, we can know that she is resting in the arms of a loving Father, our God.
May the Lord comfort you and give you strength to perservere and continue searching for her. My heart breaks for you.

DON’T QUIT
When things go wrong, as they sometime will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit—
Rest if you must, but don’t quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won if he had struck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggle has give up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close your are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

I feel horrible about some of the things I have read on here tonight.... this is meant for support and when i say support "" think of Heathers Mother and Father and sister and brother "" Yes I also find it annoying, and it concerns me very much that we havnt heard a thing on Heather in weeks in the papers but this is not about us... this is about HEATHER and her family! I am truly sorry to the Carpenter family for all you have gone through and still continue to go through daily... and I'm also sorry you have to read some of these comments here. There is always HOPE and I HOPE and pray to god everyday that you find your daughter soon! Your strength amazes me... I do not know you personally but I can see that you are strong spirited people..IT SHOWS! Keep that spirit within you to help you connect with your girl....God will give you strength always... I will pray for Heather Always! And cant wait to see her home safe with her LOVING family. God Bless you Heather and Family. Jen

I became ill the night before last and had too spend the night in the emergency room.When i got home in the morning, I slept awhile and when i got up,the first thing i did was come too Heathers site looking for good news.Nothing new was reported.Today is the last day of Indian summer here in Pa which means the weather will be turning colder and before we know it we are shoveling snow and scraping ice from our windshields and bearing the weight of 3 extra pounds of clothing wherever we go. Today however the sun is shining. the sky is a beautiful blue and the leaves are turning into a beautiful array of golds,orange,browns,and reds.Today i will take a walk and enjoy the beauty.While i walk i most often pray.Today i will include Heather in my prayers and her family.Somehow today i just have this feeling that all of our prayers will be answered soon and we will get closer too finding Heather.

I haven't got the words to say. I went to high school with Heather and her and I clicked quite well with the same personalitly and a couple mutual friends. She is such a beautiful nice girl and this whole thing has truly put me in shock so I could only imagine how you "the family" is feeling. Although Heather and I weren't that close, I knew her enough to remember her. One thing I know is she is very naive to a lot and trusts real easy. This scares me. I think it makes her personalitly even more like, because she is pretty easy going to stuff, which makes her fun to be around. I wish someone who may know something would please come forward. If you are afraid of getting in trouble because you haven't said anything this whole time, it will be understood that you are scared just like others are. But please gain the courage. I have been praying for Heather and I have her on three Church Prayer Chains here in Southern Calif. I hope and pray that she is okay wherever she might be. I am also praying for the one who does know something to PLEASE come forward. That's who really needs to be prayed for here as well. May God Bless her and you, now and always. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I am sure there isnt anything that I can do to help that you don't already have, but please if there is, I would love to help. Thank You!

HAS ANYONE GIVEN THOUGHT TO WHAT REALLY WENT ON AT THAT PARTY? WHEN MY KIDS WERE HER AGE HERE IN REDDING THEY DID WELL IN SCHOOL. HAD LOTS OF GOOD FRIENDS, WERE VERY INVOLVED IN SPORTS, AND PARTYING. I WAS PRETTY NAIVE ABOUT REDDING KIDS AND THEIR HABITS, BUT I LEARNED NOT TO SAY, 'NOT MY KID.' THIS PARTY FOR SOME REASON HAUNTS ME. WHAT WENT ON THERE, COULD SOMETHING HAVE HAPPENED TO HEATHER BEFORE EVEN LEAVING THE PARTY? COULD SHE HAVE BEEN SLIPPED SOMETHING BY SOMEONE THERE AND EVERYONE IS COVERING FOR EVERYONE? WHY IS EVERYTHING BEING KEPT QUIET? WE HAVE RECEIVED NO INFORMATION LATELY ON THIS INVESTIGATION. I HAVENT SEEN A THING IN THE PAPER ABOUT THIS CASE. AND WHAT ABOUT THE PERSON IN QUESTION? DOES HE REMAIN IN QUESTION THE REST OF HIS LIFE? GIVE US SOMETHING TO GO ON HERE. THIS IS BECOMING A VERY UNSAFE PLACE TO RAISE CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, WE ARE FEELING HELPLESS, HAS A MISSING PERSON CASE EVER BEEN SOLVED HERE? SO MANY PEOPLE WANT TO MOVE NOW, THEY ARE FEELING INSECURE ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF SUCH CASES. ITS TIME ONE OR ALL CAME FORTH AND TOLD WHAT REALLY HAPPENED THAT NIGHT. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS ANOTHER TERA SMITH CASE AND WHAT A SHAME.

Dear Ed and Cydney,
Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and still praying for some closure for you all. We have hopes that Heather will return home to you and never stop praying for this to happen soon. We also noticed that they removed Heathers picture from the Record Searchlight (on-line)..we don't understand why? I would think that a continued picture of Heather running in the Record Searchlight Searchlight would remind everyone to NEVER stop looking for her. She is out there..waiting for someone to find her..we know you search everyday for her Ed..please let Steve know if you need any help. Your always in our prayers.

I see several of the same people signing this guest book & I read it everyday at work. There are no words to describe the fustration I feel for Heather and for all her friends and family. I look back at pictures of her from high school as such a happy outgoing person and can't help but cry. Other than passing out flyers I wish there was something more I could do to help bring peace and justice to her parents. The not knowing is the worse. I would just like for all her friends and family to know that I pray for her and not a day goes by that you and Heather are not in my thoughts and prayers.

I was reading the recent email from Petie. I too have wondered why there has not been more information released in her disapperence. None of this makes any sense, this young man offers her a ride home, but it does not take a genius to know she did not get home, you wonder if something happened at the party that everyone there is hiding to protect themselves or someone there. Someone from that party or everyone at that party knows something but are afraid to come forth, maybe due to activities they do not want to expose. But my gut feeling is something happened to Heather during the party that has everyone quiet. This is truly bizarre and shame on everyone of you that may know something and is hiding the truth. It will come out sooner or later. Its time people showed responsibility toward their actions!!

i cant believe how involved i am in Heathers case. It seems im at her site constantly hoping there is good news and she has been found. Every time i see that picture of her, that beautiful face and kind smile it just tears me up.I wish I were there in California too help search for her. It makes us from other states feel hopeless that we cant do more. Thank God there are wonderful people who visit this site to offer the Carpenter family love and support.I was just thinking people out that way can also help by searching their own properties, farms, ranches and even places where they go for recreation like the parks and places in the mountainous areas where searches may not have been conduted yet.If everyone takes that little extra effort too be on the alert for Heather and keeing their eyes out, maybe she will be found.Thankyou and God bless.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter and family; It has now been 2 months and Heather is still trying to find her way home. I honestly feel there's more the public could be doing to help if more information was released. Heather must have known and somewhat trusted the person, or persons she left this party with. Which means they were with her when she vanished! The investigation team must therefore have someone they feel is responsible for your precious daughters disappearance. This also means that someone here in this tight knit community, holds the key that can unlock the door that will bring your little girl home. The ongoing cruelty behind the mask, someone near all of us is wearing, that has put such fear and terror in your hearts cannot continue. We have no way to understand, accept or begin to heal or forgive if we don't know why, or where Heather can be found. There is no excuse good enough for someone to make your hearts ache every minute of every day! At some point, the Criminal Justice System will resolve this case, at that time, those involved in the disappearance of Ms. Heather Marie Carpenter better not expect mercy to be shown on their hearts or their souls! The longer this community has to search for one of its own, a beautiful, vibrant young woman, loved and charished by so many, the more difficult it's going to be for those responsible to find sympathy! I pray Heather comes home soon, Love to your family from mine. Petie

Hi Ed and Cydney,
Just wanted you to know that I haven't given up hope for Heather's recovery, and wish you didn't have to go through this horrible tragedy. I am always on the lookout for her and want this mystery to be solved. I am so sorry for your situation. I can't begin to really know how you both must feel. Please know that the stone from M. Keaney's yard is a constant reminder for me to pray for her return, for your peace of mind, and for continued support from the community. I honestly believe she will be found. It's just a matter of time. Sincerely and with love, Cindy Huntington

I SIGNED HEATHER'S GUEST BOOK THE FIRST DAY YOU HAD IT ON HER WEB SITE AND THE SADNESS I FELT THEN IS THE SAME SADNESS I FEEL NOW IF NOT MORE! HEATHER WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL, THOUGHTFUL, MOST CAREING HUMAN BEING I EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF GETTING TO KNOW! I WORKED WITH HEATHER FOR A VERY SHORT TIME, BUT SHE MADE THAT SHORT TIME LAST FOREVER IN MY HEART! THE PARENTS OF HEATHER DID A WONDERFUL JOB AT RAISING A ONE OF A KIND DAUGHTER! MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE FAMILY AND MOST OF ALL WITH HEATHER... YOU ARE AND WILL NOT EVER BE FORGOTTEN HEATHER.. AS LONG AS THIS EARTH IS EXISTING,,SO WILL YOU!

My heart goes out to all of you agonizing over Heathers disappearance. I say a daily prayer for her and the family. On your website, is that supposed to say Shasta Country as it is stated in the truck ad, or is it Shasta County?

Dear Carpenter Family,
In the last few months that I have spent looking for any signs of Heather, I have failed to take even a moment to say to all of you that I am so very sorry that your family has been touched by such a tragedy.I hope you will forgive me for this. I cannot imagine what you must be going through right now. But, I pray the Lord will keep all of you close to him and comfort you at this time.
Sincerely

A Letter To Heather;
We need to deliver this message to you
of how much you are missed in everything
we do.
You are so special in every way
and we are preparing for our reunion one day.
Your family and friends talk of your personality
and how you could make them laugh and feel
so wonderfully.
There are so many things in life we just
don't understand but I know while we hold you
in our hearts, God holds you in His hands.
God surrounds you with His love and sends
His angels to guide and protect you from
their heavenly home above.
Please come home, your family and friends miss you.
You've been gone too long.

Hi, everyday I check the recordsearchlight to see if they have found Heather. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. But I must say, people up here say they heard they found her, and were calling it a serial killer, and that is why no one has heard anything lately. A friends son said they heard it from one of his ag classes. I said, if they found her, they would tell everyone. So, I hope they find her.

I have been following this story since Heather's parents first appeared on GMA. I check the website every single day (sometimes more than once) for good news on Heather. To her family and friends...hang in there and be strong. Heather would not want you any other way. I will continue to pray for her safe return and the strength of those who love her! Just know that people clear across the USA are thinking of you right now!
