Dear all - With the advent of the holidays, life has become more difficult because we are missing the person who is the center of our lives. We miss Heather's love of holidays and especially Christmas...she is so incredibly generous and would spend every last dime of her hard earned money to find or make gifts for her entire family and friends. We miss her love, her smiling face, her sense of humor and her joyful laugh. This is the time for giving thanks, and although it is hard to feel thankful in these extremely sad times, we are thankful for our wonderful friends and family and even strangers who have given so much love and support. Dear Carpenters; I posted a letter to you letting you know I would be going to High Desert State Prison in Susanville on Saturday 11-22-03 to visit an inmate. I took the flyer with Heathers picture and all the information about what has happened with me.........As I said I would do, I requested the help of staff there to post this flyer in the main entrance to the facility. I was shocked that none of them were even aware that your child is missing! I was told they don't get news from the Redding area! I cannot believe that law enforcement from our surrounding counties are't all informed of these situations? Well, they certainly are now, and said the flyer would be posted.....approval from the Sargent was necessary, but expected. As I had said before, all inmates from the Shasta County Jail that receive prison time for crimes committed in this area go to this facility. Anyone from here visiting just may be someone that knows something to help you find your daughter! Please know that I am doing everything I can to help you find out was has happened to Heather? I hope you are all staying strong and I am sorry for the agony that has become part of your everyday lives. I will continue to persue every avenue I can think of to come up with the answers. The inmate I was visiting is speaking to everyone he can at the prison to from this area, in the hopes he can get information for you..........Please take care of eachother......It is the Holidays.

To Heathers Family, although we are complete strangers, I think of you and Heather everyday. I am always glad to see her flyers still up all over Anderson and Redding and beyond. This while it means she hasnt been found, it also reflects care and concern that everyone is still looking for her. I always tell the owner or manager THANK YOU for keeping it posted so everyone stays aware. Having children of my own it reminds me everyday to pray for all of you, including the person or persons involved in this. I dont know how they can live with this burdon everyday of their life!!! I am so troubled that the people at the party haven't come forward yet. Several of the last people there were supposedly good friends of Heather's and people she trusted. Heather should be respected for the loving, trusting, compassionate, fun loving person she is and not be forgotten by people who call her their friend. It really should be no mystery as to why some entries are left and some are taken. This site was developed in an effort to console and support Heathers family and friends. With the exception of a few people, most have used this site to do just that. There are however those few who use this site to convey their negative thoughts and stir feelings of anger in the ones who truly care about Heather Carpenter and her family. But even as we see those things and feel anger toward the person who wrote it, we must remember that this site does have an editor. We can not use a site meant for good to argue back and forth with each other, thereby creating a circus act out of a beautiful site made for a beautiful person. So then , when we read the negative or sometimes down right rude entries we need to keep in mind why we come to this site everyday. And that is because we are concerned with finding Heather Carpenter or to simply write encouraging words to her friends and family. Thank You

I dont know Heather, her family or her friends - I live on the other side of the US and I will never forget Heather Carpenter as long as I live. It's like Heather vanished without a trace. How is this possible? How could it be that the spunky blonde that I knew, the one that had people around her at all times, vanished without a trace? Dear Family,As I was putting up flyers in Keswick I was listening to a gospel tape and thinking of how much everyone that loves Heather is hurting right now. And this song started playing; "You may be down and feel like God has somehow forgotton. That you are faced with circumstances you can't seem to get through. Right now it seems theres no way out and you're going under. But Gods proven time and time again He'll take care of you. And He will do it again. He's the God of the stars and the sun and the seas. He is your Father. And if He can calm a storm, He'll find a way to fix it for you. God knows all the pain you're going through He knows how you're hurting and just how your heart has been broken in two. But hasn't He always come through for you? He's the same now as then. He is still God and He never changes. You may not know how, you may not know when but He will do it again." The song is called " He'll Do It Again" It gave me hope in bringing Heather home and also showed me that we need to renew our faith in God and beleive that everything we ask for concerning finding Heather and bringing this horrible nightmare to a close, WILL BE ANSWERED!! Dear Conserned, Why don't you post a few of the flyers in Keswick. This is where the boy lives who gave her a ride. And also in the SHASTA LAKE area. This is a place he visits quite often. Maybe if the flyers were placed in areas a little farther than the Redding area, someone will see these and put two and two together. JUST A SUGGESTION!!! Thanks

I don't know what to say that I haven't said already. Three long months have gone by and I still dream of Heather often, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I reminese of High school times with her or picture press conferinces with happy endings. My dreams give me hope. I know its rare that after this much time has gone by for there to still be a happy ending but there is always hope. I watched the special they had on TV regarding the return of Elizabeth Smart after nine long months. It was inspriring. That weekend I went to Sacramento for a family gathering and made sure to pass out flyers of Heather along the way. I wanted everyone I came accross to know her name and Heather's story. To Heather's family please know that she is not forgotten. All of my friends and family pray for you and Heather often. She will forever be in our thoughts and prayers as we talk about her often.

Dear Family, I have been going out everyday trying to replace flyers that have either blown down or were taken down. I have placed them in clear plastic sleeves , so they won't be exposed to the weather. I was very disappointed that all flyers I had put up were either removed or blown down on Anita St. So I am replacing them today too, just as I will everytime they disappear. It is my goal to make and keep everyone aware that we are still looking for Heather and to send the message that we will never stop. So, if someone is in fact removing the flyers , they will be kept very busy doing so. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Heather. But I recall a brief moment some 20 years ago -- the joy on the face of her Uncle Chris as she bounced upon his knee, her sweet smile. May the memories you treasure bring you comfort until she returns. May you find some semblance of peace as you are lifted in the prayers and thoughts of so many. Dear Carpenter Family, The ignorance of people never ceases to amaze me but what does amaze me is their public displays of it. I would like to try and educate these few people on how to behave in public places and teach them when and where are appropriate times and places to say and do certain things. Unfortunately I cannot. What I can do is apologize for them as they know not what they do. I guess it is better to overlook their remarks of ignorance and pray that they recieve instruction on the way they should treat others. It just further proves how Satan is set on destroying good people. The world is so full of trouble already and it is a daily struggle just to survive, as you well know. It just escapes me how humans can be so cruel to another living being. As I hang up flyers for Heather I wonder how anyone could hurt or take her away and just what kind of people it must take to do such things. Then I think of the people that must know or have a very good idea of what has happened to Heather and wonder how they can live with themselves without telling her family,at least. Then I sign on here to read her guestbook and I'm reminded of just how many people there are that truly care and hope that just maybe there is someone who knows what happened to Heather, that is a good person, who is just very scared right now to come forward. I continue to pray for Heather and you everyday as well as anyone that might have knowlege of the facts surrounding her disappearance, that they might come forward and share what they know. Gather your strength from God as you have been and the Satan will never wear you down. May the Peace of our Lord be with you now and always. And may anyone that is tempted to write any negative words here be disconnected from their server before they hit send!
